60 Inch Center is an online arts publication that reports on Portland’s contemporary art scene through reviews, interviews, and images.  They accept submissions for reviews through the website.

Art and About is an artist-run project that covers a selection of Portland’s contemporary arts and regional art fairs, and produces a risograph-printed guide to some of the city’s galleries.  


Art Practical


Art Practical is a visual arts review site focused on galleries and artists on the West Coast.  The site often features Portland visual artists, venues, and writers.


Oregon Arts Watch


Oregon Arts Watch is a nonprofit online publication that reports on regional arts and culture.  


Oregon Visual Arts Ecology Project


The Oregon Visual Arts Ecology Project is a blog-style website that covers contemporary arts in the state.  The website also contains a full archive of defunct Portland art publication, The Organ.  It receives funding from the Ford Family Foundation and the Oregon Arts Commission.  




PORT is an online publication that features reviews of local art, links to other art news online, commentary, and more.  Its contributors are artists and critics and it focuses largely on Portland area artists and galleries.


The Portland Mercury

The Portland Mercury is a free weekly newspaper that features local news and culture, and sometimes includes basic listings for one or two art shows along with listings for performance and readings.  


Pushboard Portland


Pushboard is an artist-run weekly events newsletter that shares art and music events from around the city.  Artists and organizers may submit their events for free on the website. Pushboard received support from the Precipice Fund (Round 4).  


Willamette Week

Willamette Week is a free weekly newspaper that features local news and culture, as well as limited visual arts event listings and occasionally short reviews of shows at local galleries.  Also includes listings and reviews for dance, theater, readings, and comedy.
